ASTRA MALORUM

Black Ops 7
Powering the Map
Follow the on-screen guides to locate the two parts needed for the organ:
  • Machina Astralis
  • The Luminarium
Insert both parts into the organ, then protect it as it powers on and activates Pack-a-Punch.
Three Traps

Kill O.S.C.A.R using three different traps around the map. Complete all three in any order. After the third trap, O.S.C.A.R will drop the wonder weapon.

Telescope

Find a valve spitting steam and shoot five in a row to power on the telescope. Align the telescope with the sun: a laser will project onto the screen. Kill O.S.C.A.R in the trap.

Tesla Coil

Shoot the hood of Ol' Tessie with a packed weapon. A car battery will shoot out of the hood. Shoot a blinking lamppost somewhere on the map to collect the wires. Shoot a drone from off of O.S.C.A.R and collect the damaged drone. Take the parts to the trap in the Luminarium. Starting the trap with O.S.C.A.R nearby triggers a lockdown to drain his power.

Rocketship

Using Cryo Freeze, shoot the purple aether crystals around the map. Once you have three, kill Klaus with the rocket engine near Speed Cola.

Planet Cipher
Follow O.S.C.A.R as he patrols the map. He will begin playing audio logs. When he reaches Execution Twenty, Thurston will begin saying planet names.
Listen closely and translate the planet names into numbers using the key below, then insert the three-digit code into the box in the PAP room.
An elevator will drop down containing a Cryo Key.

Thurston's Brain
Take the Cryo Key to the cryogenic chamber in the bar area.
Grab a saw from a case in the museum and use it to saw the brain out of Thurston.
Take the brain to the container near Juggernog and swap the brains, triggering a lockdown.
After the lockdown, take the new brain downstairs by the library and place it.
The Library Busts
Once the brain is placed, pay attention to Thurston's reading list that flashes on the screen. The book names will be found in the library.
There are three busts in the library. Count how many books are near each bust. You can turn each head up to two times, matching the number of books closest to it.

Once all three are turned correctly, a door will open up the ladder. Climb the ladder and grab the Neptune planet.
Stabilizing the Portal
Go to the telescope in the PAP room and find the coordinates for Mars. Insert those numbers into the device above the brain to open it.
Place the Neptune planet on the missing planet slot.
Find the three papers around the map showing where to place the three movable planets:
  • Mars
  • Neptune
  • Saturn
Move the planets to their correct spots, then interact with the brain to trigger another lockdown. An O.S.C.A.R will spawn. Destroy the drones as the portal stabilizes.
The Scarab Beetle
Place the brain in the main contraption and interact with it to trigger a noise.
Look outside the map and shoot four towers from farthest to closest to attract a scarab beetle. Then hit the middle tower above the portal.
When able, jump to collect the beetle and place it in the device at the back corner of Mars.
Take the wonder weapon and shoot the metal prongs coming out of the pillars.
Return to the organ, interact with it, and memorize the order of symbols that appear.
Note

The symbols on the pillars in Mars are always in the same fixed positions The organ sequence changes each game, and one slot will display as static. Check all five to find it. Tap the symbols below in the order they appear on the organ to build your sequence.

Four Phases
I
Soul Boxes
Fill up the soul box, then interact with the brain to shoot the boss in the sky. DO THIS A TOTAL OF THREE TIMES.
II
Crit Phase
Spam her with the wonder weapon until crit spots open up, then spam those with your secondary.
III
Crit Phase
Repeat. Wonder weapon to open crit spots, secondary weapon to damage them.
IV
Final Phase
Same pattern. Keep pressure on her with the wonder weapon and secondary until the fight ends.
Echoes of the Damned
Note
You must be playing as Nikolai Belinski to complete this side quest.
Travel to the lower part of Abyssal Rim and throw a Molotov Cocktail on the ground near the Ammo Cache. This creates fiery footprints forming a trail. Throw additional Molotov Cocktails and follow the footprints until they reach an inaccessible cave.
Interact with the toy near the cave to trigger a cutscene.
After the cutscene, you'll be teleported into the cave. Travel through it until you find an altar. Interacting with the altar spawns Ravagers . kill all of them until another cutscene plays.
You'll be returned to the map. Loot drops on the ground including a Molotov Cocktail and a Legendary Echo 12. Completing the side quest also rewards the "Echoes of the Damned" Dark Ops Calling Card.
The Five Skulls
Requirement
Get a Pack-a-Punched Weapon before starting.
Find 5 skulls around the map and shoot each one to light the eye sockets, then interact to pick them up:
  • In the courtyard between Crash Site and The Luminarium
  • In one of the displays in Museum Infinitum
  • In a zombie spawn hole next to the Ammo Cache in Stargazer's Courtyard
  • In a display case in Machina Astralis, on the left side when coming from Stargazer's Courtyard
  • In a corner behind the brick wall in The Veilwalk, on the right side when coming from Archive of Orbis
Once all five are collected, place them on the cabinet with the large mirror in Machina Astralis.
All the skulls' eye sockets will shine and activate a Simon Says mini-game: shoot the skulls in the correct order.
If done correctly, all the skulls will float and merge into a Random Perk Power-Up.
"Bongo" The Friendly Ravager
When defeating O.S.C.A.R., it will drop a toy robot called "Shiny Trinket", which replaces your Tactical when picked up.
Find a white dot on the minimap, located outside the playable area, usually where zombies spawn.
Travel to that location and find a green-eyed Ravager. Throw the Shiny Trinket at it. The Ravager will eat it and hide away.
Repeat the process two more times.
On the third time, the Ravager will jump into the map as "Bongo" and play with cymbals before attacking enemies for a few rounds.
Gramophones Challenges
Reward
Free Mystery Perks. Three gramophones can be found around the map. Each needs a corresponding vinyl record. While the record plays, complete the listed challenge.
Archive of Orbis (near Stamin-Up): the record is inside a wooden box on the middle floor of Machina Astralis. While the song plays, kill 5 zombies with equipment. Once the music stops, Equipment and a Mystery Perk can drop.
The Luminarium (near the Mr. Peeks headphone): the record is at the top of a bookshelf, next to one of the grandfather clocks. While the song plays, kill 15 zombies with Field Upgrades. Once the music stops, Essence and a Mystery Perk can drop.
Museum Infinitum (near Speed Cola): the record is on the capital of the wooden pillar above a zombie window. While the song plays, kill 5 zombies with melee weapons. Once the music stops, Salvage and a Mystery Perk can drop.
The Twins
Reward
A free Cryo Freeze Ammo Mod on first encounter, plus loot every round the Twins reappear.
During a special round, travel to Museum Infinitum and interact with the left-most display cabinet beneath the painting of a mansion/castle.
During the next rounds, weird noises will play from one of the displays in the museum. One per round, four times in total. Interact with each display.
If done correctly, the ghost twins will appear somewhere around the map in one of three states . dancing (plays music), drawing with chalk on the ground, or standing holding hands. They can appear at:
  • Crash Site: behind Ol' Tessie
  • The Luminarium: inside the Stellar Dissector, or in a corner outside on the Abyssal Rim side
  • Abyssal Rim: next to Wisp Tea
  • Observatory Dome: in a corner near the X9 Maverick wall-buy
  • The Veilwalk: next to the door leading to Observatory Dome
  • Machina Astralis: on the upper floor, or in a corner near the door leading to Scholar's Way
  • Museum Infinitum: in a corner near the door leading to Scholar's Way
Once you find them, the Twins will disappear, leaving loot behind. Including Salvage, Equipment, and a free Cryo Freeze Ammo Mod the first time. They reappear every subsequent round with additional loot.
Time Dilation
Rapidly melee 5 grandfather clocks found around the map:
  • One in The Luminarium, next to the bookshelves
  • One in Museum Infinitum, near Speed Cola
  • Two in Machina Astralis: one on the bottom floor, one on the middle floor
  • One in Archive of Orbis, next to Stamin-Up
If done correctly, all enemies will move slowly for 60 seconds. This can be repeated once per round.
Wisp Orbs
Reward
A free Ray Gun.
There are 9 lanterns against walls around the map:
  • Two in Crash Site
  • Three in the courtyard in front of The Luminarium
  • Two in the back of The Luminarium
  • Two in Scholar's Way
Find the lantern shining with a white wisp and aim at it to obtain the wisp. It will orbit around you. Your melee button throws the wisp before it comes back to you. Thrown at zombies, it usually kills 1–2 zombies. Killing zombies with the wisp gives no Essence.
To upgrade the wisp, place it inside all 9 lanterns by throwing it and getting it back by aiming at the lantern.
Once the wisp is in the last lantern, pass the round. If done correctly, the wisp turns yellow/orange and becomes available from any lantern. You can collect up to 5 wisps at a time, each upgraded wisp killing about 5 zombies.
Starting at Round 16, a rocket from Ashes of the Damned floats in front of Saturn. Hit it by throwing an upgraded wisp. If done correctly, the wisp comes back and drops a Ray Gun.
Aiming at the rocket long enough plays "Once In A Blown Up Moon" by Brian Tuey. The same music that plays after the Zarya Cosmodrome Ritual in Ashes of the Damned, based on the launch countdown track from Black Ops III's Der Eisendrache.
DG-2 Turret Upgrade
Near the Wisp Tea machine, locate an asteroid nearby. Throw a grenade at the asteroid so its explosion knocks the asteroid closer to you.
Sprint and wall jump to the left side of the asteroid. If done correctly, you'll float into space and travel back to Crash Site. As you travel, the DG-2 Turret will spawn. Interact with it as you pass to grab it. A new mix of "Pareidolia" by Brian Tuey plays during the trip.
Once back at Crash Site, install the turret onto Ol' Tessie. It can be used freely and is effective against O.S.C.A.R.
Power-Up Statues
Note
There are 7 Power-Up statues around Astra Malorum, with two additional statues appearing after the first 7 are activated.
Shoot each statue to receive its corresponding Power-Up:
  • Bonus Point: outside Crash Site, near a lamp post
  • Insta-Kill: top of a pillar on the right side of Scholar's Way when looking towards Machina Astralis
  • Double Points: beneath a cabinet on the top floor of Machina Astralis, next to the stairs
  • Nuke: right of the balcony at the top of Machina Astralis when looking from The Veilwalk
  • Full Power: on the telescope platform when looking from Stargazer's Courtyard
  • Max Armor: embedded in a rock in Stargazer's Courtyard, on the left side coming from Observatory Dome
  • Max Ammo: on top of the wall outside the playable area, left of the trap room in The Luminarium when coming from Crash Site
  • Fire Sale: inside a zombie spawn window in Museum Infinitum, on the left side coming from Stargazer's Courtyard. Only available after all others are activated
  • Random Perk: next to the ball on top of the right stair pillar when looking at The Luminarium from Abyssal Rim. Only available after all others are activated
Pareidolia Secret Song
Reach Mars and activate the portal.
Aim at the giant statue head on the right side of the stairs, when viewed from the portal entrance.
This plays a remastered version of Pareidolia.
Skull Jumpscare
Requirement
Move the telescope as part of the steps to unlock the LGM-1.
Interact with the binoculars on the left side of the organ and bring the cursor to the small-sized skull located at RA 2h 23m and DEC 42° 21'.
If done correctly, a short skull jumpscare triggers before forcing you out of the screen. The skull is gone afterwards.
Headphone Locations
At the bottom of the bookshelf, left of the door in The Luminarium going to Abyssal Rim.
In a display case in Machina Astralis.
On a chair in Observatory Dome.
After interacting with the last one, "Magic" by Avenged Sevenfold will play.
Grim Relics
Seed
At Round 20, a grey pistol (randomly a Jager, Velox, or Coda) spawns on the map. Pick it up. You cannot upgrade its rarity, but you can Pack-a-Punch it to any level.
Once picked up, kill exactly 20 zombies with it, then finish the round using your secondary weapon.
The exact kill count is determined by the round you pick it up. Round 20 = 20 kills, Round 21 = 21 kills, and so on.
If done correctly, you'll hear Mr. Peeks laugh at the start of the next round, and the portal will spawn in the Pack-a-Punch room.
Trial Task
You can only use a Pack 1 pistol
Relic Curse
No Mystery Box
Gong
At Round 20, zombies spawn with lightning rods sticking out of them (not on Ravager rounds). Find one and bring it beneath one of three lightbulbs around the map:
  • Above the doorway by the brain
  • Above the doorway leaving the Stamin-Up room going to the Mars portal
  • Leaving the Pack-a-Punch room heading towards the spawn portal
When the lightning rod zombie is beneath the lightbulb, shoot it (do not kill it) to activate Deadwire. While stunned by Deadwire, activate Tesla Storm on it: an orb will float into the lightbulb.
After all three lightbulbs are lit, the portal spawns.
Trial Task
Zombies are only damaged by electricity
Relic Curse
Field Upgrade starts charged, but can only be charged by Full Power
Sinister Relics
Spider Fang
At Round 40+, kill an O.S.C.A.R. using both Wisp Tea and your melee weapon: the wisp must still be touching O.S.C.A.R. when you land your final blow with the melee weapon, otherwise the trial will not spawn.
Trial Task
No perks
Relic Curse
Perk cost never decreases in price
Matryoshka Dolls
After Round 40, kill zombies on the center circle on Mars using C4.
Trial Task
Only kills with Field Upgrade count
Relic Curse
Salvage drop rate halved
Wicked Relics
Civil Protector Head
At Round 60, four candles light in the chandeliers in the room near Speed Cola. Extinguish all four candles using PHD (flop under each chandelier).
Use Energy Mine on Tessie: Tessie will flash its headlight 3 times to begin showing the sequence. The headlights line up with a chandelier, so match the pattern on the truck to the chandeliers in the museum.
The portal spawns once all four candles have been extinguished in the correct order.
Trial Task
Every zombie is a Super Sprinter
Relic Curse
Lose a perk every 100 kills
Golden Spork
Note
This is currently bugged and can be completed before Round 60.
After Round 60, teleport to Mars and shoot a Mangler cannon into the teleporter. Instantly teleport back through and stand on the summoning circle.
The Mangler cannon shot will teleport shortly after . kill zombies in the summoning circle with the Mangler shot.
Trial Task
Only hipfire damage counts
Relic Curse
Zombies deal 2x damage
