MOB OF THE DEAD

MOB OF THE DEAD

Black Ops 2
Requirement
This Main Quest can only be completed with 2 or more players. Before beginning the main steps, obtain the Hell's Retriever, Free Blundergat, Spoon, and fly to the bridge 3 times.
Pack-A-Punch & the Plane
Collect all 6 Plane parts to build the Plane on the Roof, then fly to the Golden Gate Bridge to unlock Pack-A-Punch.
Warden's Key (needed for many parts):
  • A key hangs in one of 2 spots. In Afterlife mode, shock a nearby Generator to lower it:
    • Outside the Cafeteria: jump through the Afterlife wall above the Cafeteria to the right
    • Outside the Warden's Office: jump through the Afterlife wall above the Warden's Office to the left
  • After shocking the Generator, the key lowers. Pick it up.
Shirt:
  • Use the Warden's Key to open the locked room in the Showers.
  • In Afterlife mode, shock the Shockbox across from the washing machine.
  • Start the washing machine: this triggers a lockdown (30 zombies or Brutus).
  • After the lockdown, take the Shirt from the washing machine.
Gas Tank:
  • On the Docks there's a locked gate. Before opening it, enter Afterlife mode and jump to see over the gate, then shock the Shockbox.
  • Open the gate with the Warden's Key and pick up the Gas Tank.
Engine:
  • In Afterlife mode, shock 3 generators in the Generator rooms at the Docks. There is always a Generator through the Afterlife wall into the back of the building.
  • In the Warden's Office, use the Warden's Key to open the Interrogation room and pick up the Engine.
Control Valve:
  • Open the case in the Infirmary using the Warden's Key and pick up the Control Valve.
Rigging:
  • Use the Warden's Key to open the Keypad at the bottom of the Citadel Tunnels.
  • Enter Afterlife mode at the top of the Citadel Tunnels. On the way down to the Keypad, 3 numbers are written on the walls. Remember them top to bottom.
  • Input them into the Keypad left to right by shocking it.
  • Down the stairs from the Keypad, use the Warden's Key to open the cage in the side room and pick up the Rigging. You have 60 seconds from when you input the code.
Open the Roof: In Afterlife mode, go through the Afterlife wall in the hallway with doors in the Infirmary. Mantle up, run to the door, and shock the Shockbox to open it.
Place each part on the Plane on the Roof. In co-op you must place one part at a time. Once complete, fly to the Golden Gate Bridge.
Hell's Retriever
Feed 3 Dogs by killing zombies near them and letting the dog eat zombies one by one:
  • Broadway
  • Infirmary
  • Docks
After feeding all 3 dogs, a room near Double Tap will open. Pick up the Hell's Retriever inside.
Free Blundergat
Using the Hell's Retriever, throw it at 5 skulls to collect them:
  • Roof: on a ledge, to the left when entering the roof from the door
  • In a cell outside of spawn: on a table
  • On a utility post outside a window in the Warden's Office
  • At the Docks: above Juggernog on a lamppost
  • On the Docks: on the 3rd pillar from the left
The Blundergat will appear on the desk in the Warden's Office: you can pick it up.
Spoon
Note
You must fly to the bridge at least once before this step.
Throw the Hell's Retriever at a poster in a cell near the Warden's Office to tear it down.
Enter Afterlife mode, go to the corner near the Afterlife Box, and go through the Afterlife wall.
Shock the Spoon on the ground inside the wall.
Throw the Hell's Retriever at a table out a window in the Cafeteria to collect the Spoon.

  1. 101
  2. 386
  3. 872
  4. 481
Headphone Pickups
The screen will go black and white. Once it returns to color, pick up a headphones power-up: repeat this 5 times total, each time picking up the headphones at the next location in sequence:
  1. Staircase leading out of the Citadel Tunnels
  2. Next to Double Tap
  3. Catwalk on the way to the Cafeteria
  4. Staircase going from Cafeteria to Infirmary
  5. Staircase leading to the Roof
Board the Plane

  • Weasel kills the other mobsters, or
  • Weasel is killed by the other mobsters
Hell's Retriever
A very good Tomahawk you can use for easy training and point collection. Requires feeding all 3 Hellhounds.
Hellhound #1 (Cell Block): from the spawn area, make your way through the Cell Block and find the Hellhound painting on the wall. Kill zombies near it until the dog finishes eating.
Hellhound #2 (Docks): go to the Docks and find the second Hellhound painting. Kill zombies near it until it's fully fed.
Hellhound #3 (Warden's Office / Roof route): find the third Hellhound painting along the route toward the Roof. Kill zombies near it until it finishes.
Reward
After all 3 dogs are fed, head to the Citadel Tunnels. The Hell's Retriever will appear in the hanging cage area.
Hell's Redeemer
Upgrades the Hell's Retriever. Requires already having the Hell's Retriever.
Go to the Golden Gate Bridge and kill roughly 30 zombies using only the Hell's Retriever, then finish the round.
Return to Alcatraz and go to the lava pit underneath the B23R in the Citadel Tunnels. Throw the Hell's Retriever into the lava, then finish the round.
Enter Afterlife and return to the location where you originally obtained the Hell's Retriever.
Reward
The Hell's Redeemer will be waiting there.
Free Blundergat
Hit 5 hidden blue skulls around the map by throwing your Hell's Retriever/Redeemer at each one.
Skull #1 (Cell Block): near the starting/Library area, inside an open cell.
Skull #2 (Jugger-Nog): toward the nearby lamp/post.
Skull #3 (Docks): around the wooden dock supports, on the third wooden pillar.
Skull #4 (Roof): toward the far-left edge of the roof, around the area beside the plane.
Skull #5 (Warden's Office): outside the office, toward the nearby utility pole/power line.
Reward
Once all 5 skulls are collected, a free Blundergat appears on the desk in the Warden's Office.
Golden Spork

Go to the cells near the Warden's Office and find the cell with the blue/green "Escape from the Tomb" movie poster. Throw the Hell's Retriever at it.
Enter Afterlife near the Warden's Office and go through the newly revealed portal. Find the spoon beside the large cracked wall and shock it with your Afterlife attack.
Go to the back of the Cafeteria and look through the zombie barrier/window. Throw your Hell's Retriever at the spoon sitting on the table to collect it.
Go to the Infirmary and find the large blood-filled bathtub. Interact with it to place the spoon inside.
Go to the Showers and kill zombies with the Acid Gat until you hear the audio cue.
Return to the blood bathtub in the Infirmary and interact with it. A hand will emerge holding the Golden Spork.

Sniper Jumpscare
Requires a sniper rifle, such as the Barrett M82A1 or DSR 50.
Build the plane and reach the Roof, then head to the far-left/back corner toward the water.
Aim down your sniper's scope and look out toward the distant buildings/fireworks, moving your aim around until you find the correct spot.
Note
A distorted face will suddenly appear in your scope, accompanied by a loud scream.
115 Number Pad Easter Egg
Requires the Warden's Key.
Go to the Citadel Tunnels and find the electric number pad next to the spiral staircase/elevator area.

"Where Are We Going?" by Kevin Sherwood & James McCawley will begin playing.
Samantha's Lullaby
A hidden Game Over Easter egg that can only be done at the very beginning of a game.
Start a new game and, as soon as you spawn, do not move. Your character will automatically enter Afterlife.
Do not revive yourself. Let the Afterlife timer run out completely; your character will die.
Reward
Instead of the normal Game Over sequence, the screen goes black and white, and the camera slowly moves upward from the spawn area toward the sky as "Samantha's Lullaby" by Kevin Sherwood plays.
