ZETSUBOU NO SHIMA

Black Ops 3
Before Starting
Make sure at least one player equips the "Anywhere But Here" Gobblegum before starting the game.
Build
Skull of Nan Sapwe
Cleanse 4 Skulls by completing 4 Rituals around the map. The Skulls are on a Pedestal to the right when leaving Spawn. Each skull has a symbol corresponding to one of the 4 Pedestals.
During each Ritual, zombies, spiders, and Thrashers will spawn. Protect the Skull. After each Ritual, return the Cleansed Skull to its original Pedestal:
  • Spawn
  • Near Propeller Trap, left of Spawn
  • Near Zipline by Docks, leaving the lab power room
  • In Laboratory near the KT-4 Tables, near Mule Kick
Once all 4 Cleansed Skulls are placed, lightning will strike and remove the log. Head down the stairs and interact with the skull to start a lockdown. Kill enough Keepers until the lockdown ends, then pick up the Skull of Nan Sapwe.
Build
KT-4
Collect the 3 KT-4 parts:
  • Spider Venom: Lower a cage in Lab A. Lure a spider into the cage so it closes with the spider inside. Raise the cage and grab the Venom after it is extracted.
  • Green Vial: Wait for and kill a glowing green zombie near the Green Water. It will drop the Vial.
  • Plant: Swim to the bottom of the underwater cave near Mule Kick and grab the plant at the bottom.
Build the KT-4 at the table in the back corner of the Lab near Mule Kick.
Upgrade
Masamune
Required
All players must complete all 3 of their Challenge Podium challenges before the Blue Vial step.
Collect the 3 Masamune parts:
  • Spider Tooth: Use the KT-4 to disintegrate the webs near the back of Lab A and enter the area to start the Spider Boss Fight. After the boss is defeated, run across the bridge and interact with the spider to grab its tooth from its mouth.
  • Blue Vial: After everyone completes all 3 challenges, stand on the Challenge Pedestal to get your shield electrified. Melee the control panel in Lab B with the electrified shield to open the cage. Get inside. In co-op have someone lower it; in solo it lowers automatically. Grab the Vial from the skeleton, then raise the cage back up.
  • Rainbow Plant: Obtain Rainbow Water by going into the Sewer System and grabbing water when you see a 115 meteor in the sewer pipes. Mesmerize the wall in the underwater caves (where you got the original Plant) with the Skull of Nan Sapwe. Plant a seed there and water it with Rainbow Water for 3 rounds to grow the Rainbow Plant.
Build the Masamune at the table right next to the KT-4 build table.
Warning
When planting the Rainbow Plant seed, do not stand behind the seed or you will get stuck and drown.
Step 1-3
Skull of Nan Sapwe & Mesmerize Steps
Obtain the Skull of Nan Sapwe (see build section above).
Use the Skull to Mesmerize the poster in the Cocoon Room.
Use the Skull to Mesmerize the door next to the Elevator to open the wall.
Step 4
The 3 Cogs
Obtain 3 cogs and place them in the room behind the Elevator. They can be obtained in any order.
Cog 1: Use the "Anywhere But Here" Gobblegum. This should teleport you to a secret room with dragon eggs. Grab the cog on the ground.
Cog 2: Water a plant(s) with blue water 3 times, shooting it with the Masamune each time. If you get lucky, an Artillery Shell will drop from the plant. Load it into the AA Gun and interact again to fire. Shoot the plane down when it flies over and aligns with the gun. The Cog will fall somewhere on the map. Find and pick it up.
Cog 3: After all players complete all their challenges, go to the Challenge Podium with your shield held out and wait for lightning to strike and electrify it. Then go to either side of the zipline (side closest to the Docks is recommended):
  • Solo: Melee the zipline purchase box with the electrified shield to electrify it. Ride the zipline and when over the Docks, melee to drop down. If you fall you will die. Grab the cog on the Docks.
  • Co-op: One player rides the zipline. When they are over the Docks, another player melees the purchase box with the electrified shield to drop them onto the Docks. If they fall they will die. Grab the cog on the Docks.
Final Steps
Boss Fight
Recommendations
It is highly recommended to have a Gas Mask for the boss fight. You will need the Masamune for this step.
Have everyone enter the Elevator and use it to enter the boss fight. Shoot the branches blocking the way with the Masamune to get past them.
Shoot the 4 branches around the boss when they glow. One at a time. After each one, more enemies spawn and you must wait for the next branch to open up. After shooting all 4 branches the boss fight is over.
Free Perk
Spider Boss. Free Widow's Wine
Requirement
KT-4.
Go to the Spider Lair near Lab A and use the KT-4 to destroy the webs blocking the entrance.
Enter the Spider Lair and fight the Giant Spider. Shoot its glowing orange mouth when it opens, and continue attacking it until it is killed.
Approach the dead Spider. A free Widow's Wine power-up will appear.
You can also collect the Spider Fang here, although this is used for the Masamune quest rather than this Easter egg.
Transformation
Spider Transformation
Requirements
Skull of Nan Sapwe, KT-4, and a Zombie Shield.
Find the special Spider: wait for a Spider round, use the Skull of Nan Sapwe to hypnotize the spiders, and search for the special red-glowing Spider. Keep it alive while killing the other spiders.
Feed the Spider: take it to the different water sources around the map and allow it to drink from each required water source.
Capture the Spider: take it to Lab A, place it inside the Spider cage, and raise the cage.
Electrify the cage: use the electrified Zombie Shield on the electrical panel, then lower the cage again.
Complete the Spider round: finish the current round to trigger a special Spider round, then kill the required spiders.
Raise the cage and collect the Spider Venom. Use it to temporarily transform into a Spider.
Plant System
Imprint Plant
Requirement
Seeds and access to a planting location.
Find a planting spot around the map and place a Seed inside.
Water the plant over multiple rounds, continuing until the Imprint Plant appears.
Interact with the fully grown plant. It can store your weapons, perks, and player state. If you die, you can use the plant to return with your previous loadout.
Plant System
Free Perk Plant
Plant a Seed: find a planting spot and place a Seed inside.
Water the plant: water it once per round for 3 consecutive rounds.
Harvest: once fully grown, interact with it. The plant will produce a fruit.
Eat the fruit to receive a random free perk. Make sure you have an empty perk slot before harvesting it.
Plant System
Friendly Thrasher
Requirement
Seeds and the correct coloured water type.
Find a suitable planting spot and plant a Seed.
Use the required coloured water to grow the plant, continuing until the required mutation appears.
Interact with the resulting plant and complete the required feeding interaction.
A friendly Thrasher will appear and attack nearby zombies for you for a limited period.
Equipment Upgrade
Golden Bucket
Requirement
Normal Bucket.
Progress through the plant and water system, using the different coloured water sources around the map.
Complete the required hidden plant interactions. Once the sequence has been completed, the Bucket will be upgraded.
The Golden Bucket allows you to carry different types of water, making growing plants around the map much easier.
Fun Effect
Doppelganger Jumpscare
Requirement
Skull of Nan Sapwe.
Go into the Bunker and search the rooms for the hidden portrait/interaction.
Use the Skull of Nan Sapwe to reveal the hidden interaction, then activate it.
A doppelganger jumpscare will appear. There is no gameplay reward for this Easter egg.
Music Easter Egg
Dead Flowers. Secret Song
Interact with 3 hidden radios around the map:
  • Radio #1. Lab A: find the blue 115 water pool, then look around the nearby equipment and platforms for the hidden radio.
  • Radio #2. Lab B: head to the upper floor and look around the equipment near the 115 generator for the hidden radio.
  • Radio #3. Bunker: go toward the KT-4 workbench and look around the nearby tables and equipment for the hidden radio.
After interacting with all 3 radios, "Dead Flowers" by Malukah will begin playing.
Music Easter Egg
Samantha's Lullaby. Magic Mix
Location
Bunker. Purple Water area.
Go to the Purple Water area inside the Bunker and look at the wall beside the Purple Water to find 7 glowing bulbs.
Use your bucket to fill the bulbs in the correct order: 1 → 3 → 5 → 6 → 7 → 5. If you fill a bulb incorrectly, the sequence will reset.
Once the sequence is completed, interact with the activation bulb. "Samantha's Lullaby. Magic Mix" will begin playing.

On the top level of Lab B, sitting on a table or shelf near the flashing light.

Bunker (Purple Water Room)
Downstairs inside the main bunker, on a bed or lab table next to the purple element water pool.
